How do you stash your stash?

When you purchase fabric, do you have a particular project or pattern in mind? Or do you shop based on what strikes you at the moment, and then add it to your stash to use at a later date?  What amount of a particular fabric do you buy? Fat quarters? Half yards? Multiple yard cuts?

Perhaps it's a mix of both. When I started sewing more in earnest a few years ago, I didn't know what a "stash" was.  I shopped for fabric as I needed it.  Over time, however,  I realized the benefits of purchasing fabrics for later use, as well as good times to buy multiple prints or multiple yard cuts.

Shopping during markdowns and sales can be a great opportunity to stock up on multiple yard cuts for use in larger projects such as quilt backings, garments, and bags or bag linings. Right now we have nearly 400 fabrics on sale for $8/yard or under.

Remember, for every $50 spent receive a golden ticket while supplies last! Golden tickets will be packaged with your order.  See all the giveaway details here.
