And our friend Debbie Grifka loves solids too! She has always been a proponent of solids. They are less expensive than prints, and they come in a much more enormous range of colors. And there's nothing like the crisp look of a solid!
Debbie Grifka loves solids so much that she's started a monthly linky party called Sew Solid Sunday! To inspire others with the possibilities of solids. It's the second Sunday of every month.

Mode Mondrian is made with five colors of Kona cotton. It was inspired by the abstract paintings of Piet Mondrian.
An Economy of Red shows that the economy block (and by extension all blocks) is not exclusively the province of printed fabrics. I love how a few pops of red in a fairly restrained color palette really bring this design to life!
If you are looking to grow your solid stash, Pink Castle has two monthly clubs that feature solid fabrics:
The No Prints Allowed club will send you 12 solids of a single color per month, either as half yards or fat quarters. We also have a few extra bundles from past months for sale if you can't wait to get started stashing them!
The Color Inspirations Club will send you 10 half yards or fat quarters of RJR cotton supreme solids, a coordinating bundle specially selected by Brenda, each month that you are a member.
We also offer a Rainbow Fat Quarter Bundle - using 32 lovely solids from our many solid manufacturers!
But if you are looking for specific colors, rather than sampling, there is no better tool than a color card! I have a few of these myself, and they are quite invaluable, especially when looking for solids to coordinate with prints, and when shopping online!
As for me, I am also quite fond of solids. I am currently working on a mini quilt I hope to get done in time to link up. It even uses one of Debbie's patterns, Third Street Neighborhood, though I changed the scale a bit. Here's a preview:
